Homeschooling Interest Growing

Trends continue to indicate that homeschooling is on the rise. Check out this research survey for another testimony of increased homeschooling interest, indicating the great potential we have to serve new families with our programs this fall. Remember, our programs are meeting families’ needs. The desire for assistance and support is great, and we want to help families feel the community and support each of us has come to appreciate.

Other ways to serve brand new families are:

  • include them in the watch parties* of the Practicum content
  • set them up with a personal consultation with your Specialist to get their books figured out

* Every Director and SR who posts their watch party on the Portal event calendar by June 19 will receive a $20 hostess book credit to the CC Bookstore. Share with your Directors TODAY!

With Practicum being shifted to virtual delivery, it will be important to encourage folks to order books now.

Be sure to continue to add new ways to fold in new families to your plan for outreach and growth!

SPONSORSHIPS

Know Your Numbers!

Experienced Support Representatives have heard this exhortation before. If you have not heard it in a while, or maybe have not heard it at all, you WILL this summer—A LOT!

The new Virtual Sponsorship Packages are based on your Area Representative’s territory instead of individual Practicums. Knowing your AR’s numbers will be important in helping your potential sponsors see the value in partnering with you.

Numbers to Know:

  • CC Area Facebook Page followers: (May not be available yet--check with your            Area Representative)
  • Total number of families:
  • Total number of students:
  • Total number of Challenge students (especially for potential college sponsor):

Virtual sponsorship information will be uploaded into Learning Pathways next week.

TRAINING

Ready to Zoom?

Many of you asked, and we listened! We are replacing WebEx with Zoom this week for Team Leaders and Employees! You received your personal Zoom invitation last Thursday, May 28, from Zoom. Click here for all the details!!

Please diligently accept your invitation if you have not already done so. Re-inviting is not nearly as easy as sending the invite in the first place. Please note, if you have a personal Zoom account with a CC email address attached to it, the invitation will not go through. You need to change the email attached to the personal account for the invitation to be sent. Please change it and then contact Customer Service, to request your Zoom invitation to be resent.

MARKETING/SOCIAL MEDIA

More #Hashtags

Hashtags are a great tool for communicating with your followers as well as increasing engagement and attracting new customers. Here are some platform-specific tips from the article, “How to Use Hashtags in Social Media” from Digital Marketing Institute.

Facebook

When you are trying to get more exposure for your Facebook posts, using hashtags may help. On Facebook, it is important not to use too many hashtags. Usually, it is recommended to only use one or two for each post.

Posts that you are intending to be found should be posted as public rather than just among your family and friends. This will enable anyone who is interested in the topic indicated by your hashtag to find your post.

Instagram

On Instagram using more hashtags often leads to more engagement. Use up to 10-11 relevant and popular hashtags on this platform for the best reach. You can actually use as many as 30 hashtags on Instagram.

Since Instagram is the best platform for multiple hashtags, try a wide variety of different hashtags. Use them on posts, photos, and comments. It is best to add them in a separate line in your photo description rather than in the sentence where you are talking about your photo. This looks cleaner.

Here are some recommended hashtags to put on your posts:

  • #myccday
  • #classicalconversations
  • #cccommunity
  • #homeschooling
  • #classicaleducation

Keep in mind the plan to return to the standard, in-person model as soon as possible. Classical Conversations continues to work hard to provide helpful information and resources based on the classical model of education, 23 years of experience, and feedback from our Directors.
